Time: 8:07am
What: 20 minutes seated practice (give or take a couple minutes)
Focus: First Foundation / Exercise 5 - 6 (Sati-)

Sat down - knelt really - on the cushion. Hands in dhyana mudra (question... is it dominant hand on the top or bottom?). Gaze soft on the floor. Aware of the feeling of breath. Dropping into the feeling of body. And then... Oh! ...I forgot to set the alarm bell. I have no means of timing the length of the sit. Small - and I mean small - moment of panic. Didn't want to get up. I was happy where I was, doing what I was doing. Decided to go with it and see what happens. Awareness back to breath and position/actions of the body. Thoughts of New Leaf / Punk Rock Yoga event, class intention, training... Floating. Floating awareness. Floating thoughts. Sleepy cool quiet morning. Buzz of the computer, drip of the tap, bark of a dog outside. Place palms together in closing. Closing mantra. Bow. Stand up and look at the time... Approximately (give or take two or three minutes) a twenty-minute sit. How 'bout that! *pats herself on the back*
