What: 20 minutes seated practice
Focus: First Foundation / Exercises 9 - 10 (Sati-)
The tired mind bobs up and down in the current of experience, getting swept down by the undertow of thinking. Not paying attention to thoughts but lethargically being entertained or distracted by them. Zoned out in fatigue.
Practiced visualizing the decomposition of the body while sitting. Followed by bringing awareness to joy. Calm and joy often come hand-in-hand. A couple at the party of sitting. Calm is that settled peaceful feeling. Joy is that sense, on the periphery of experience, of everything being okay (even when it is uncomfortable).
