Time: 8:06am
What: 25 minutes asana / 20 minutes seated practice
Focus: Third Foundation / Exercises 9 - 12 (Ana-)
Been reflecting a few hours after actually practicing. Saves on time in the morning and allows for a relaxed pace (instead of rushing). Though I find that the reflection lacks a little... je ne sais quoi.
Practiced with a sense of heaviness, fatigue. Wonder why that has been such a reoccurring theme. Set up camp on the bedroom floor since the livingroom (and usual practice space) was otherwise occupied my our house guest. Did a couple Sun Salutations and then moved into "floor" poses with long holds. Watching the immediate tension or resistance in the body towards the new form being asked of it. And watching the natural softening as the body gets used to being in that shape. Also noticed how the mind can fixate on the strong sensation and then wanders off into thinking once the sensation becomes commonplace or dissipates.
Impatience reared its head towards the end of the sit. Watched impatience without feeding it or pushing it away (for some time). Then chose to finish sitting at the 20 minute bell.
