Time: 7:57am
What: 15 minutes seated practice
Focus: Awareness at nostrils - "In/Out"
Last day of practicing awareness at the nostrils and I'm finally settling into it. There was a certain amount of ease in watching the breath this morning. Starting to get used to the 15-minute length (have gone from 30 minutes to 20 to 15). One minute before the "bong", I started internally squirming. One minute later, I turned off the alarm and jumped up and off the cushion. No closing (zero on the mindfulness scale... ha ha). Had to sit my a** back down and close properly. Discipline.
Life and death are of supreme importance.
Time passes swiftly and opportunity is lost.
Let us awaken, awaken.
Do not squander your life.
May all beings be happy.
May all beings be healthy.
May all beings be safe and free from danger.
May all beings be free from their ancient and twisted karmas.
May all beings be free from every form of dukkha.
Took Peter's one-hour Moksha class... Noticed how awareness comes and goes in a series of large waves. Like a radio losing and regaining reception as you drive down the highway.
