Oh my Buddha!

Hello lovely loved ones and others that read this here blogger thing. Greetings from KhoPhangan.

Ryan and I are now on the smaller island of Phangan. This is our second night here. Fourth night in Thailand (to give you the general background, as it were). It has been all things great, with a few inconveniences on the side (to keep life interesting, of course).

I will now present for you a short summary of my thoughts and experiences in Thailand:

Lizards abound (Look! There's one now). The phrase "OH my Buddha" replaces "Oh my God". Food is fabulous. Thai people are incredibly friendly. The Gulf of Thailand is beautiful. There was a praying mantis in my bed and it bit me in the night. Our beach hut is a room, a mattress, and a bathroom - but the toilet flushes, so thats a good thing. Toilet paper and sheets do not come with the hut, but a hammock does! Stray dogs are everywhere and some of them like to bark at the white folks. Having beers with ladies from Holland and Annie - a dreadlocked guy from Suratthani - is good times had by all. There is a pony on my walk here. Ryan and I are going on a Safari adventure in the jungle tomorrow. And we get to meet the tribe of Ganesha. Elephants for me and ME. And thats all I can think of at the moment...

So that is that.

Life in Thailand has been quite peaceful and rural, for Rybot and I. The only real stress within days and various means of travelling (other than the praying mantis, of course) occurred once I returned to this here electronic device. Funny how that works. Who knew checking ones email could result in stress *smirk*. I received emails announcing the firing/resigning of a friend who will remain anonymous. Also found out that our apartment lease is up November 30th and the landlord is not interested in renewing. That, of course, leaves us about a week upon returning from Thailand to pack up and find a new home. Fun! But I suppose stress is all in the frame-of-mind. So I am officially NOT stressed about anything. Especially the things I cannot control or even affect from this internet/travel agency hut on this tiny little island. Ah ha haaaaa... silly silly stuff.

Time to get off this thing before I blow all my baht. xx. love sincerely me.
