Life and times of ME.

Fancy that. December 17th was an exceptionally long time ago. What kind of blogger am I?! One without the usual excitement with which to update, I would assume. I think that quite possibly Taiwan was my main source of wit and humour. Now I'm just a serious girl without regular employment. Or am I?

Toronto is still the city that I know and love. I wouldn't exactly call the weather we've been experiencing winter ...more like a global-warming induced early spring (go watch An Inconvenient Truth!). So no freezing has been happening. Some days I get all dressed up in my layers and winter coat to find that it's 11degrees outside. Which leaves me feeling (and looking) a wee bit stupid. Note to self: weather reports exist for a reason.

The employment to which I was returning remains ambiguous and just out of my reach. The studio location fell through and so the hunt continues. And (oddly enough) a yoga studio without the studio part doesn't have much use for a manager. But I've decided that life had other plans for me. Right now I am teaching in Richmond Hill on a very part-time basis, doing some contract work with Planet Aid and working as a sewer with our dearest Kimberly at Stage West. Which keeps me busy until the end of February. Leaving March and the first part of April before I skoot (yes, 'skoot') off to the Jivamukti teacher training. Of course, saving 6150+ USD is not particularly easy on an underemployed income. But that's where banks and boyfriends come in handy.

So that is the life and times of ME. Mix'n things up a bit. Finding the yoga in the day to day life. Close to friends. Close to teachers. Closer to family. I've had some LARGE yoga classes (48 people in the last one) and some interesting experiences... which will remain unexplained unless you ask. Let's just say it involved garudasana and a frown. I hope you are all well (happy, healthy, smiling). BIG HUGS to the kids in Taiwan. xx. -n.
